Reminiscing

Here are the directions:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Ryah Playing the Focus Game

We played the focus game. I laid her down on my knees and waved my phone back and forth slowly so that she could focus on the light from my phone. Her eyes and head followed it and it was so freaking cute!

I GOT TAGGED!!!

Thanks Danielle

3 JOYS?..
1. My Hubby Brian. He is my everything!
2. Our little baby girl Ryah. She is such a joy in our life.
3.My family, I wouldn't survive without them.

3 FEARS?..
1.Well, I fear that I won't be the mother Ryah needs me to be. I fear that I wont know how to help her and make her happy.
2.I fear driving with her in the car, with all the crazy inconsiderate drivers, you never know what can happen.
3.I fear gas prices will never go down...or at least stop going up. Who thought Obama as president was a good idea anyway?

3 GOALS?..
1. Do better at my church callings and attending all meetings, including relief society and visiting teaching.
2. Raise a sweet daughter of God (and hopefully other daughters and sons) in the gospel.
3.To finish school and get a degree. I only have 5 classes left! WOOHOO!!!

3 OBSESSIONS?..
1. My husband of course! I can't stand when he is away from me and I can't stand it when I know he is not happy. I just want to spend all my time with him.
2. Ill have to agree with Danielle...I am obsessed with pictures too. And even though Brian could do his whole life without them, I have to have pics everyday of myself, my baby, and my sweet hubby. I like to see how we change from month to month, or year to year, and to see how happy we are as a family!
3. Again, I would have to agree with Danielle...Food! What more can i say... I LOVE to eat! And most of all...DESSERT!!! MMMmmm!!!

3 RANDOM FACTS?..
1. I have a titanium rod in my femur.
2. Our house is going to be a freeway in a few years.
3. Brian is my bestest best friend ever.

Thanks Danielle for the tag...I tag Joely, and Ashleigh. (I don't know if I can tag you too since Danielle tagged you already)

Projectile Poop!!!

I am sure many of you mothers know the meaning of this particular post title...and I am sure it needs no further explanation. However, what fun would a posting be with such a title and no story to go along with it? So, here's the story...

Imagine a nice pair of blue shorts and a white shirt. Now imagine the same pair of shorts with yellow chunks all over it! Well my little girl likes to wait until I pull her diaper off her cute little tooshy before actually completing her number two release, and then, as soon as the diaper separates from both tiny cheeks, the biggest explosion you could ever imagine to come from such a small little body appears all over whatever stands in its path!

On a more positive note, here are a few bits of her personality already showing through.

Ryah hates to be tied down. What I mean by that is she hates her arms to be swaddled in a blanket but loves to be swaddled. So, I swaddle her but then I have to pull her arms out of the blanket. Otherwise she grunts and fusses until she is freed!

Ryah loves her milk. She'll eat and eat and eat, and then after being awake for a few minuets playing focus on mommy's/daddy's face, she'll eat some more, then go to sleep. However, you can't touch her while she is eating or she will push you away. I sometimes would hold the back of her head or her shoulder to give her a little support while eating but she won't have any of it. She uses her tiny little elbow and tries to push you away! Once you let off, she will relax and start feeding again!

Ryah loves her daddy. She can be fussy all day but as soon as daddy comes in the house, she calms down and even smiles. She will definitely be a daddy's girl.

Ryah makes the cutest noises when she sleeps. Which brings me to another quirky bit about her...she refuses to sleep in anything but her swing. I tried many times to sleep her in her bassinet but all she does is crys, grunts, fusses, and whines. However, as soon as I put her in her swing, she is out like a light in no time at all. When she finally does fall asleep, you know she is dreaming because she smiles, talks (baby language of course) and grunts to whoever she is talking to. I like to think she is talking to her Grandpa Frost and Aunt Allison and many others who helped her before coming across the veil. She is so darn precious I love this little girl. And she loves to sleep with her mouth open.

Ryah is like her Grandpa Frost. She loves to sleep with her hands on her head. That is her favorite sleeping position. Also, when she eats, she is such a polite little girl, she will cross her hands right below her chin until she is finished.

You know Ryah is starting to sleep when she starts breathing really rapidly for a few seconds, then lets out a little sigh, or whimper. Oh so cute!

Ryah is not too fond of baths but when we put her directly under running water, she calms right down and relaxes.

Ryah likes to go crosseyed. This is a common occurrence for little ones who try to focus, but when you see your own little one do it, it makes it extra cute!

Ryah gets the hiccups, I swear, more than she breathes. She hiccups all the time and I feel so bad because they sound so hard, but she is a trooper, and handles them really well. No crying or fussing at all.

Ryah is a good little girl. She doesn't mind her little booty being changed. She used to fuss when she felt the cold wipes on her little booty, but now she knows, cold wipes means clean booty, which means happy momma, and happy momma means happy baby. Or I wish anyway!

Sleep? What is that!?!? I think I average about 2-3 hours of sleep a day. No big deal though. She is so worth it.

Ryah is already growing so big. I can tell in her teeny little hands and teeny little toes that she is growing more and more everyday. I would hope so, I am producing enough milk for an army, so hopefully she gets that milk and sprouts bigger and bigger everyday!

Anyway, theses are a few of Ryahs little personality traits already showing through. I will update it once in a while when I am not feeding her, changing her, or trying desperately to get some sleep...and I will post more pics as she gets bigger and bigger.

Oh, one more thing, she is tough as nails. A few scares already: She loves her milk so much that she drinks so fast, and sometimes she chokes so I have to pull her off, sit her upright, and burp her until she breaths again. However, she always comes back for more! =) Also, the other day, we took her to get her shots. Man, she is much braver than me, and so is her daddy. I had to leave the room for her to get her shots so I wouldn't ball my eyes out, and I still cried because even in the waiting room, I could her her cry. But she was done and happy once again in no time. She loves her car rides by the way, and doesn't mind her car seat one bit. And when it all began, Ryah was a little twisted in the womb. Dr. Roland couldn't get her out the way she was position so he had to get a vacuum, suction it to her head, and twist and pull as I pushed. Every time I stopped pushing, her umbilical cord would wrap tighter and tighter around her neck. He had to quickly snip it so it didn't choke her. Thank goodness she is alright.

So, that is our little girl. Stay posted for more updates and pictures.

I also wanted to thank my husband for being such a great support through all of this. He he such a sweetheart. From the moment I started feeling contractions to the slow, careful drive to the hospital, to holding my head and hand as I pushed, to holding our little one in a beautiful father/daughter moment, to holding our little on at the doctor when she got her shots so I didn't have to see our little one hurting, to doing laundry, dinner, dishes, vacuuming, and everything else, PLUS working full time, and taking time out of the day to do his workouts. I have the most wonderful husband and daughter a mother and wife could ask for. Thanks sweetheart. I love you so much. If I don't say it enough, just know that I am so grateful for you and I love you more and more every day!Her weight 7lbs 3oz, and her cone head from the vacuum.

My first time holding our little one in my arms. And I would like to say I have already lost 25 lbs.

Our happy family. Ryah's first bath with our awesome nurse Geri.

Ryah and Grandpa Lance.
Ryah's first car ride in her car seat.
Sleeping like the angel that she is.
Her faces she makes when she sleeps are so cute!
Sleeping with her mouth open.
She is grunting because she doesnt like her arms tied up.
And this is what happens when we let her arms out. She is sleeping like her Grandpa Frost. Her favorite position with her arm over her head.
Ryah's first bath at home with mom and dad.
Her first little bracelet. Thanks Kasey!
Oh behave! Lol. Chillin on the floor. This is where I change her. The pad is cold when I lay her down so she throws her arms in the air, stretches, and and then relaxes. I think she likes the coolness on her back after being wrapped up in the blanket all day.
Our little angel. We love her so much. Thanks for finally coming!
